Grandpa’s Laptop at the Table
I got a used laptop from my grandpa and learned by taking it apart, rebuilding it, and making it run better.
Hi, I’m Preston. I help people across Charlotte fix slow computers, Wi‑Fi issues, printer problems, and frustrating tech issues without the confusion or pressure.
Meet Preston
I started Bessire IT when I was 15 years old in South Charlotte. What began as a simple way to help neighbors has grown into a local IT business trusted by more than 1,200 Charlotte-area clients.
The foundation has always been the same: show up, listen, solve the problem, and make technology feel less stressful for the people who depend on it every day.
How It Started
A simple timeline of how helping neighbors turned into a trusted local IT business.
I got a used laptop from my grandpa and learned by taking it apart, rebuilding it, and making it run better.
I printed flyers for neighbors and started helping with everyday computer and printer problems.
By high school, weekends were filled with tune-ups, virus cleanup, and recovering important files.
Repeat clients and referrals turned the work into something bigger than a side project.
The Charlotte Weekly shared my story and reinforced how much patient, local tech help matters.
I expanded from home support into small business IT across Charlotte.
I began teaching local groups about scams, online safety, and practical computer protection.
Today I help Charlotte families and small businesses keep their technology working and secure.

Most work is either hourly support or a fixed project rate depending on the size of the job.
Best for troubleshooting, tune-ups, Wi-Fi issues, printers, and cleanup work.
Great when the issue needs to be diagnosed first.
Best for larger jobs with a defined scope and upfront pricing.
Ideal when the work has a defined start, finish, and outcome.
Most of my work comes from repeat clients and referrals. People call me when something isn’t working, and they keep calling because they know it’ll get handled the right way.
"We’re not tech people, and Preston makes everything feel manageable. He takes his time, explains the ‘why,’ and fixes things without making it overwhelming."
"We’ve called Preston for years. He fixes the issue and explains what happened in simple terms. Our computers always feel better after he leaves."
"When our Wi-Fi kept dropping with a newborn at home, Preston got everything stable again and even checked in after. It felt like a friend helping, not just a technician."
"Preston has helped us for over 10 years now with laptops, Wi-Fi, and backups. He’s patient, kind, and never makes us feel rushed."
"Preston keeps our business systems organized and secure. He gives honest advice and practical solutions—not sales talk."
"He’s helped me transition between computers over the years without losing anything important or feeling overwhelmed. I trust his judgment completely."
Whether it’s a slow computer, Wi-Fi issues, or something that just doesn’t feel right, I’ll take a look, explain what’s going on, and walk you through the best way to fix it.
